<B>1939 25C PR68 NGC.</B></I> David Bowers, in his Washington and State quarters guide book, writes of the 1939: "Proofs are scarce, but when found are usually of choice or gem quality." This marvelous PR68 displays whispers of milky patina, joined by peripheral rainbow coloration at the obverse periphery. The design elements are sharply impressed, and both sides reveal impeccable preservation.
