<B>1939 25C PR68 NGC.</B></I> David Bowers, in his Washington and State quarters guide book, writes of the 1939: "Proofs are scarce, but when found are usually of choice or gem quality." Such is the case with this incredible PR68 specimen. Pristine surfaces display a layer of barely discernible light violet patina, accented with yellow-gold and lilac at some of the margins. A super strike adds to the coin's eye appeal.
