<B>1938 Texas Christian University Team Signed Panoramic Wire Photograph with Davey O'Brien.</B></I> The greatest season in TCU history, which culminated in star quarterback Davey O'Brien's assumption of Heisman Trophy honors after leading the Horned Frogs to a National Championship without a single defeat. Here we find what must certainly be the finest signed image of that iconic collegiate club, rumbling toward the camera witha ball-carrying O'Brien taking up the rear. Each of the eleven players pictured has signed his image in vintage fountain pen ink, all maintaining easily legible strength varying between 5/10 and 9/10. O'Brien is at the top end of this scale. The photo measures an impressive 8x17" in size, quite unusual for a wire image, though we're not complaining! "Associated Press Photo" stamping is found on verso. Scattered creasing throughout is to be expected given the age and oversized dimensions of the image, though the visual strength of the piece is not diminished in any significant way by these issues.
