<B>1938-S 50C Texas MS68 NGC.</B></I> The first Texas halves were struck two years before the state centennial, and the last pieces were coined two years after the celebration was over. This S-mint half, one of just 3,814 examples minted in the last year of the design, is one of the best-preserved representatives known. Dappled golden-bronze, rose, and silver-gray patina graces the smooth, shining surfaces.
