1938 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball. After running away with the American League flag, the Bombers made short work of the National League flag bearing Cubs, needing just four games to three-peat as World Champs. The star-studded cast that made ultimate glory all but a foregone conclusion from the opening bell gathers upon this "Official Joe DiMaggio League Ball," most notably captain Lou Gehrig who finds his appropriate position upon the sweet spot. Among the twenty-three that join the celebrated first baseman are Ruffing, Dickey, Henrich, Crosetti, Selkirk, Rolfe, Gordon and Babe Dahlgren, who would become the first Yankee other than Gehrig to start at the three position since 1925. Gomez and DiMaggio appear in secretarial format. Signature quality averages a conservative 6/10, with all present easily legible, thanks in part to a carefully applied coating of shellac. A solid example of an important team ball. LOA from PSA/DNA.
