<B>1938 Babe Ruth Signed Photograph.</B></I> The great Bambino appears in the last Major League uniform he'd ever wear, departing the game for good after coming to the sad realization that the Brooklyn Dodgers has brought him on as a sideshow attraction rather than as a legitimate contender for the managerial position he futilely craved. Here he tends to his first base coaching duties on the Ebbets Field diamond, a taped caption at bottom dating the image to "6/19/38." Inked across this lower body is an 8/10 blue fountain pen inscription to a friend, which reads, "To My Pal Press, From Babe Ruth." The visible portion of the photo measures 6.5x8.5" in size and exhibits no condition flaws to note. A simple matting and framing job extends the ultimate dimensions of the piece to 13x15".
