<B>1938 10C MS68 Full Bands PCGS.</B></I> The 1938 dime mintage from the Philadelphia Mint (22,190,000 pieces) decreased from the extremely large coinage of the previous three years. David Lange (2005) explains this: "The recession which had set in during the latter part of 1937 slowed the nation's economy throughout 1938. This fact is reflected in lower production figures for all five denominations."<BR> The MS68 specimen offered here displays potent luster emanating from immaculately preserved surfaces. Hints of occasional olive-green color are visible under magnification, and all of the design elements are well impressed. In addition to the full middle bands, the diagonal ones are bold as well.
