From one end to the other the intense silvery luster gyrates with almost atomic intensity underneath a silvery gray veil of toning. 1937 is the year the big Hindenberg dirigible met its fate when a spark of static electricity ignited the hydrogen chambers, causing it to burst into flames. The quarter offered here was struck in San Francisco. The Hindenberg that struck out was turned to bent metal at Lakehurst, New Jersey was on the other side of the continent.
