<B>1937-S 50C Texas MS68 NGC.</B></I> In addition to his work on the Texas commemorative half dollar, Pompeo Coppini received several other commissions related to the centennial of Texas independence, including a series of bronze statues for the Texas Hall of State and a San Antonio monument to those who died at the Alamo. Soft, pleasing luster shines beneath the light gold-orange and silver-gray patina that covers this later-date Texas half, from an issue of just 6,637 pieces.
