<B>1937 Jim Bottomley Signed Government Postcard.</B></I> The star first baseman for the great St. Louis Cardinals teams of the 1920's, Bottomley provides a significant challenge to modern autograph collectors due to his 1959 passing, a full fifteen years prior to his Hall of Fame induction. His black fountain pen ink signature, mailed from St. Louis in May of his final season in the game, is a 10/10 marvel. One of many government postcards from the collection of young Howard Lyon presented within this auction.
