For your consideration is this 1937 Gillette Round Up Newberry Alliance saddle. The rodeo was put on by the American Legion in 1937 and won by Happy Sankey who won 2nd in bronc riding. The saddle is in good condition with a beautiful basket weave tooling to the fenders, skirt and seat jockey. The saddle is marked Gillette Round-up; U.S. American Legion 1880; and also 1937. The makers mark is located on the latigo keeper and Newberry Alliance really made a great saddle that is standing the test of time with good working condition.
