1937-D 5C Three-Legged XF40 NGC. FS-020.2. Supposedly created by a Mr. Young, by excessively polishing a die to erase clash marks, this famous Buffalo nickel type has been advertised on the back of cereal boxes and marketed in other ways that have made it familiar even to non-numismatists--thereby increasing its value at nearly all grade levels. This XF example is well detailed but shows some drab toning and bits of dark-green verdigris on each side. Even so, it is still a highly desirable item as an authenticated example of the so-called Three-Legged Buffalo nickel.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
