1937 5C PR67 PCGS. The silvery surfaces are limpid poo
1937<5C> PR67 PCGS. The silvery surfaces are limpid pools of crystal clarity. The noticeable lack of contrast, common to proofs of this era, here contributes to a startling originality and superiority of appearance: Not only the looking-glass fields, but also the pinpoint devices, instantly confirm their status as a superb coin, in accurate Superb Gem proof condition. Scrutiny of the obverse reveals a bit of apparent die rust that appears as tiny pebbles on the highpoint hair, while perusal of the reverse displays a minuscule pinscratch through the bison's torso that is only visible at a certain angle. PCGS has graded 10 coins finer (8/06).
