1937 50C Texas MS68 NGC. In an inversion of the usual
1937 50C Texas MS68 NGC. In an inversion of the usual pattern, the 1935, 1936, and 1937 Texas commemoratives have lower mintages for the Philadelphia issues than for their Denver or San Francisco counterparts. This exquisitely preserved representative, one of just 6,571 pieces struck, displays vivid plum, wine, orange-bronze, and violet-blue patina over each side, and a touch of silver-gray appears at the upper left reverse. NGC has certified a mere seven examples in MS68, none of which received the Star designation, and PCGS has awarded that grade to just two coins (3/07).
From The Cary & Cheryl Porter Collection.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
