<B>1937 50C Antietam MS67 PCGS.</B></I> The Washington County Historical Society, based in Hagerstown, Maryland, was the immediate distributor of the Antietam halves. The Historical Society continues to serve that community to this day; one of its major exhibits is the Miller House, an 1820s mansion that houses artifacts of that time and from the Civil War years. Subtle lavender, gold, and russet shadings grace the obverse, while the highly lustrous reverse exhibits more colorful orange, pinkish-plum, and mint-green patina.
