1937 25C Doubled Die Obverse MS66 PCGS. Breen-4287, FS-012. Very strong doubling is noted on the motto and digits of the date. As stated in the third edition of Cherrypickers' Guide, "A very rare variety, less than 12 examples are known in any grade." We tend to concur with this, as this Premium Gem is one of the two finest certified by either PCGS or NGC (10/07). The surfaces are smooth and virtually mark-free, and a bit of soft silver-gray patina has gathered overall. Worthy of a strong bid from an astute Washington quarter collector.
From The Michael Fuller Collection.

Coin Engraver: John Flanagan

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
