<B>1937 10C PR68 NGC.</B></I> David Lange (2005) writes of 1937 proof dimes that "Their survival rate in gem condition seems to be higher as a percentage of total mintage." NGC/PCGS census/population data do indeed indicate a plentiful supply of this issue through the Premium Gem level. The numbers drop off in PR67, and the lofty grade of PR68 is rare. Wisps of iridescent cobalt-blue, lavender, and olive-tan visit both sides of this exquisitely struck specimen. Impeccably preserved surfaces do not deny the grade designation.
