1936-S 50C Columbia MS68 PCGS. Subtle forest-green, silver-blue, and sun-gold adorn the obverse. The reverse features delicate lime, honey, and steel-blue shadings. Vibrant cartwheel sheen sweeps this pristine Superb Gem. An unimprovable example of this Southern issue. Columbia is the state capitol of South Carolina, and the obverse depicts the capitol buildings as they existed in 1786 and 1936, the beginning and end of its Sesquicentennial. Encapsulated in a green label holder. PCGS and NGC combined have certified just 10 examples as MS68, and none have been graded any finer (9/07).
From The Sterling Collection.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
