1936 was an especially good year for all automobiles in general. For the Packard they became even more sophisticated, having models for most classes of the wealthy. Packard was selling well with the creation of many models and engines. The larger Packard could still be ordered to the customer’s high standards. The 1936 Packard you are viewing is a full classic and was produced in July 1936 and delivered to Packard Motors of Boston. A prominent family from the area purchased it, it was a real beauty of very low production ordered to their specifications. The Packard straight 8 is equipped with a Dietrich convertible sedan body making it even more rare is the fact that it has the divider window with the curved back sides, with 139 inch wheel base. The car is still owned by a member of the original family and name. The family kept the car in excellent condition and repainted it in the late 60’s when the paint wore through. The last heir got the car in the 60’s. It still has all the original components including original leather seat covers and low mileage. The owner now used it for all his daughters’ weddings and other ceremonial occasions. It has been used sparingly, always with the top down to show the beautiful Packard luxury and style. Buyer's premium for this vehicle is 14%.

BUYER'S PREMIIUM:
A buyer' premium of 28% is added to the price knocked down by the Auctioneer for Online bidders. If you are the successful bidder on a lot at $100, your invoice will include a buyer's premium of $28 for a total of $128. Some vehicles will be sold with a 14% Buyer’s Premium, qualifying vehicles will be identified on the item listing description. Additional processing fees will apply. Sales tax is applied as directed by the state of Connecticut.
