1936 National League All-Star Team Signed Baseball. A seventh inning home run by the great Lou Gehrig couldn't stop the Nationals this year, who left the American League team holding the short end of a four to three stick at Braves Field. A look at the roster fielded by the victorious side helps explain their success, and twenty-two of those men appear on this ONL (Frick) ball. Best is the panel just above the Frick stamping, which features twin Giant Hall of Famers Ott and Hubbell, as well as coach Bill McKechnie. Each of these signatures remains in perfectly legible 6/10 ink. Medwick on the sweet spot is equally strong. Others have not fared quite as well, but are still quite easily discernible. These include Dean, Durocher, Hartnett, Lombardi and Vaughan, averaging perhaps 3/10. Only a tiny handful of team balls from this event have survived to reach the hobby, so collectors must forgive condition issues for such pieces. LOA from PSA/DNA.
