<B>1936 Mel Ott Signed Government Postcard.</B></I> The third man to enter the elite brotherhood of 500 home run hitters provides a 10/10 black fountain pen signature midway through a season that would see his New York Giants claim the National League pennant and face the Yanks in an historic Subway Series. The collector's typed notations are joined by postmark stamping on the autographed side, but none affects the signature in any regard. One of many government postcards from the collection of young Howard Lyon presented within this auction.
