1936-D 50C Texas MS68 NGC. CAC. Pompeo Coppini, the Italian-born sculptor of the Texas commemorative half dollar, first came to San Antonio in 1901 for work on a commission. He and his family would stay for 15 years, and after time in more heavily populated arts districts, he returned to San Antonio and worked there until the end of his career. This spectacularly preserved and shining Denver exemplar displays tan and bronze toning over much of the obverse, though the center of the reverse remains essentially untoned. Census: 4 in 68, 1 in 68 , 0 finer (11/07).

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
