1936 50C Robinson MS67 PCGS. Joseph T. Robinson, twelv
1936 50C Robinson MS67 PCGS. Joseph T. Robinson, 12-day governor of Arkansas, resigned his post to take a seat in the Senate in 1913. He would serve for 24 years, the last four as Senate Majority Leader, until his death in 1937. When the Arkansas-Robinson pieces were struck in 1936, he was at the zenith of his political career. The coin offered here is a suitable tribute to this prominent statesman. Deep rose-gray and bronze patina graces each side of this shining half, and the smooth surfaces are a testament to careful preservation. PCGS has graded only one coin finer (4/07).
From The Cary & Cheryl Porter Collection.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
