1936 50C PR67 NGC. Walking Liberty half dollars were first struck in 1916. Unfortunately for collectors, proof production was limited to cents and nickels that year, although all denominations were struck in 1915. Collectors would have to wait two decades to obtain Weinman's two coin designs, the Mercury dime and Walking Liberty half, in proof format. They were struck for 7 years, when a second World War ceased proof coinage. By 1950, when proof production was resumed, the Franklin half ruled the denomination.
Among proof Walking Liberty halves, the 1936 has the lowest mintage and is key to the series. This needle-sharp, satiny, and immaculate Superb Gem is predominantly pearl-gray, although light golden-brown visits the borders. Certified in an older NGC holder.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
