<B>1936 50C PR67 NGC.</B></I> The 1936 proof half dollar, with a mintage of 3,901 pieces, is the key to the brief 1936-1942 Walking Liberty proof series. This issue is readily available through PR65, and even Premium Gems can be located with a little searching and patience. NGC and PCGS have seen only about 80 PR67 coins, however, and a solitary specimen finer (3/07).<BR> The PR67 example in the present lot is virtually untoned, and a well executed strike has imparted exquisite detail to the design elements. Close scrutiny with a glass reveals no mentionable marks on either obverse or reverse.
