1936 50C PR65 PCGS. The first proof Walking Liberty Half Dollars emerged from the presses in the Philadelphia Mint in 1936. Only 3,901 specimens were delivered that year, and this issue has long been regarded as the key to the proof Walker series of 1936-1942. This carefully preserved Gem displays smooth surfaces beneath a dusting of more or less even golden-tan patina. Some orange tinged iridescence is noted in select areas toward the centers. Both sides are crisply impressed with deep, mirrored reflectivity. Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour. Sometimes eBay Premier live bid software cannot keep up with that pace, so we strongly recommend that you place a realistic proxy bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Also please note that all Heritage/CAA lots purchased through eBay Premier carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions.
