<B>1936 50C Lynchburg MS66 NGC.</B></I> Included with the lot are two July 29, 1936 newspaper clippings, one from the New York Herald Tribune and the other from a different New York newspaper. Each has a photograph of Carter Glass from his Mint medal as Secretary of the Treasury during the Wilson administration, and refers to his appearance on an upcoming Lynchburg commemorative. Also accompanying the lot is a canceled check for $199.88 from the Lynchburg, Va. Commercial Bank, dated May 16, 1883. An uncanceled 2 cent stamp is affixed. Also included, a Lynchburg, Virginia wooden nickel celebrating the town's 1936 sesquicentennial. NGC Census: (378/90). PCGS Population (520/53). Mintage: 20,013. Numismedia Wsl.
