1936 50C Cleveland MS67 PCGS. The authorizing Act of M
1936 50C Cleveland MS67 PCGS. The authorizing Act of May 5, 1936, for this issue commemorates "Cleveland's contribution to the industrial progress of the United States for a century," according to the overblown verbiage therein. This original Superb Gem is awash in antique-copper patina that yields to areas of violet, ice-blue, and rose. The underlying frosty luster is undiminished in intensity, and the surfaces are typically clean for the grade. Although PCGS has certified 37 other examples in MS67 (4/07) with only one finer, we doubt whether any of those coins can compete with the eye appeal of the present specimen.
From The Cary & Cheryl Porter Collection.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
