1936 1C Type Two PR66 Red PCGS. The first proof Lincoln Cent officially produced since 1916, the 1936 is a rare coin relative both to the number of collectors in today's hobby who require an example and the number of available specimens from later dates in this series. It is believed that far fewer of the 5,569 proof Cents delivered this year were of the Type Two, Brilliant Finish variety. This is a uniformly mirrored representative with fulsome orange-red luster and a smooth looking texture. There is not a single outwardly distracting blemish, and the eye appeal is expectantly strong for the premium quality Gem grade. Light, barely perceptible iridescence is noted in the obverse field before and after Lincoln's portrait. Population: 19 in 66 Red, with a mere two finer (7/02). Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour. Sometimes eBay Premier live bid software cannot keep up with that pace, so we strongly recommend that you place a realistic proxy bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Also please note that all Heritage/CAA lots purchased through eBay Premier carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions.
