1936 1C Type Two--Brilliant Finish PR65 Red PCGS.
1936<1C> Type Two--Brilliant Finish PR65 Red PCGS. The first proof Lincoln Cent officially produced since 1916, the 1936 is a rare coin relative to the number of collectors in today's hobby who require an example. It is believed that far fewer of the 5,569 proof Cents delivered this year were of the Type Two, Brilliant Finish variety. Its extra brilliant finish contrasts with the Type One Satin Finish. The present coin is a beautiful orange-gold specimen that dazzles the viewer with strong reflectivity and fiery color. The design elements are boldly impressed, and there are no significant contact marks visible. Several freckled toning spots dot the reverse. Population: 128 in 65, 24 finer (6/05).
