<B>1936 1C Type Two--Brilliant Finish--PR65 Red Cameo NGC.</B></I> The 1936 is even scarcer than its mintage of 5,569 pieces indicates. Two distinct finishes were used, Satin and Brilliant. Approximately equal numbers of each were struck, but collectors seek both variants for proof date sets. This is a deeply mirrored proof that shows a moderate overlay of mint frost on the devices, which of course, yields the cameo effect. Any 1936-1942 proof of any denomination is rare with a cameo contrast.
