A Depression-era emergency currency issued by the Fostoria Industrial Corporation of Ohio, this $1 scrip note features bold black and green printing and includes three affixed F.I.C. one-cent booster stickers. Numbered 78037, the note bears signatures from officials of both the First National Bank and the Commercial Bank & Savings Co. of Fostoria, along with approval from the corporation's finance committee. Text on the note specifies redemption terms requiring sticker placement and presentation before January 1, 1936. The reverse side is perforated with the word "PAID" and stamped with the name "Bersted Manufacturing Co."
