<B>1935-S 50C San Diego MS68 <img border='0' src='http://www.heritagecoins.com/images/star.gif' width=10 height=10> NGC.</B></I> Though San Francisco coined the entire authorized mintage of 250,000 San Diego halves plus assay examples, nearly 180,000 1935-S coins were melted as unsold and recoined at the Denver Mint as 1936-D pieces. Waves of copper-orange, lime-green, and steel-blue toning wash over the highly lustrous surfaces, and a few small areas of the reverse display a hint of near-brilliance.
