<B>1935 New York Yankees Uniform Player's Contracts Lot of 6.</B></I> Grouping of fully executed contracts brought six athletes into the pinstriped fold to begin a new post-Ruth era in the Bronx. Each contract is in standard format with typed or handwritten entries for player name, address and salary, which ranges from a low of $2,400 to a high of $7,000 for "Fireman" Johnny Murphy, who pitched a dozen seasons in a Yankee uniform. The other new hires: Walter "Jumbo" Brown, John Broaca, Vito Tamulis, Clifford Melton and James DeShong.. Each has signed his consent to the terms of his contract, as have American League president William Harridge and Yankee team owner Jacob Ruppert (secretarially signed by Ed Barrow). All ink is 9/10 or better, and contracts exhibit original storage folds but no other condition issues.
