1935 50C Connecticut MS67 NGC. King James II sent Sir Edmund Andros to the American colonies as an enforcer of sorts, but the royal agent's efforts in Massachusetts and Connecticut were thwarted. The Charter Oak depicted on this commemorative issue was so named because colonists hid Connecticut's royal charter within it until the Glorious Revolution deposed the despised monarch. Attractive yellow-gold toning graces the rims, while lavender and silver-blue patina covers the interior. The surfaces shine with potent luster that has a hint of satin, and only a few tiny grazes are evident on the devices, which display above-average definition. NGC has graded just one coin finer (2/07).

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
