<B>1934 St. Louis Cardinals Team Signed Baseball.</B></I> The grand and glorious Gashouse Gang is well represented on this ONL (Heydler) ball, with a cast of legends including Dizzy Dean, Grimes, Haines (twice), Vance, Medwick, Martin and more. Durocher and Frisch are of the clubhouse variety. Twenty-five signatures appear in all, with quality an average of an entirely legible 5/10. A few signatures do dip below into a rather ghostly realm, though none of these are among the names listed. Only a very few pre-war teams--the 1919 White Sox, the 1927 Yankees, the 1929-30 Athletics capture the imagination of the baseball historian in quite the way this traveling circus of Dizzy, Daffy and Dazzy does. Included is the remarkably solid and complete original box that has housed the ball for over seventy years, a treasure in itself. <I>LOA from PSA/DNA.</B></I>
