<B>1934-S $1 MS65 PCGS.</B></I> The 1934-S is the key-date Peace dollar in Mint State. This was not always the case. For example, David Bowers writes that: " ... there was a time in the early 1940s when the 1925 Philadelphia dollar ... was priced higher, considered to be rarer, and was in greater demand than the 1934-S." The 1925-P is now considered to be among the most common Philadelphia dollars in Mint State. The '34-S Gem in this lot displays dazzling luster exuding from untoned surfaces, and sharply struck design elements. A few trivial marks apparently precluded an even higher grade.
