1934 Max Baer Signed Wire Photograph with Carnera Bout Ticket Stub. Primo Carnera enjoys the last hours of his Heavyweight Championship title as he poses with Baer before facing off in the famous Madison Square Garden massacre. Baer sent Carnera to the canvas ten times that night before the referee put a halt to the beating and crowned Baer the new Champ. This 7x9" Associated Press wire photograph bears a "Jun 14 1934" stamp that dates it definitively to the day of Baer's ascension to the number one position, and is inscribed to a buddy, "To Kenneth Means, Good Luck, Max Baer, 7/20/34." The black fountain pen inscription rates 9/10 in boldness, and the photo itself shows a few minor wrinkles that are only visible at certain angles to the light. Included with the photo is a somewhat ragged ticket stub for the Championship bout. LOA from PSA/DNA.
