First among MS65 examples of this better D-mint issue from the 1930s. With President Roosevelt's administration firmly in power by 1934, the Treasury department was instructed to increase production of all the silver denominations as backing for increased use of Silver Certificates in circulation. 1934-D isn't common by any means, and is especially desirable in bold gem condition like this.
