<B>1933-S 50C MS67 PCGS.</B></I> Variegated ocean-blue and golden-brown shades endow this lustrous and exactingly struck Superb Gem. The skirt lines and branch hand are exceptionally sharp for a Walking Liberty half, particularly one from the San Francisco Mint. Careful rotation beneath a light locates only moderate marks on the TE in UNITED. The 1933-S is a scarce issue in any Mint State grade, and is seldom encountered above the MS65 level. Many collectors of the day could not afford to set aside a half dollar during this Depression year, and others instead concentrated on keeping up with the many commemorative half dollar issues.
