When delivery of this denomination resumed in 1933, coinage was limited to the San Francisco Mint. The 1933-S was produced to the extent of 1.7 million coins. This date is generally regarded as the last of the "early" Walking Liberty Halves with Mint State survivors available in approximately the same number as for the 1929-D and 1929-S deliveries. On the other hand, the '33-S is generally found with a much sharper strike, and the present representative is no exception. Every element of the beautiful design is razor sharp, and the golden tinged surfaces are bursting with frosty mint luster.
