1933 Honus Wagner Single Signed Baseball. "You can have your Cobbs, your Lajoies, your Chases, your Bakers," once said Hall of Fame manager John McGraw, "but I'll take Wagner as my pick of the greatest." Perhaps best remembered as the face on the most valuable baseball card in the world, the legendary Pittsburgh Pirates shortstop remains a particularly tough single despite his many years in uniform, first as a player and later as a coach for the team he loved. This Pacific Coast League sphere was signed as the Bucs closed out spring training in California, as is noted by the Old Dutchman's 6/10 side panel inscription: "Hans Wagner, Wrigley Field, Los Angeles, Calif., March 31-1933." Duotone stitching and light, even toning makes the baseball a lovely home for this coveted single. LOA from PSA/DNA.
