The subjects are famous pilots and airplanes, cards #1-24 are dated 1933 while cards #25-108 are dated 1934. Sky Bird's portraits are done in wonderful color, detail and design. Popular cards of Amelia Earhart, James Doolittle, and Baron Von Richthofen (The Red Baron) make this set a collectors favorite. Includes 108 cards released by National Chicle over a two-year span (1933-1934). Notables include #23 Baron von Richthofen (The Red Baron), 32 James Doolittle, 36 Charles Lindbergh, 48 Amelia Earhart, 49 Orville Wright (scarce back), 72 The Spirit of St. Louis. Adding to the appeal of this particular offering is the additional scarce back variations (series of 144 cards) of cards #25-48, which include #32 Doolittle, 36 Lindbergh and 48 Earhart.
