1932-D 25C MS65 PCGS. The Denver Mint inaugurated Washington Quarter production in 1932 with a limit
1932-D 25C MS65 PCGS. The Denver Mint inaugurated Washington Quarter production in 1932 with a limited delivery of 436,800 pieces. Although the '32-S was produced in smaller numbers, the '32-D is the more challenging coin to locate in the finer Mint State grades. When we offer an Uncirculated 1932-D Quarter, it is apt to grade no finer than MS64. In fact, the present example is only the fourth Gem to appear in one of our Signature Sales since January of 2002. The surfaces are exceptionally smooth with a lustrous, satiny sheen. There is not a single ill-defined feature, and the number of well scattered bagmarks is typically minimal for the assigned grade. Untoned save for a few whispers of pale golden tinting here and there. Population: 37 in 65, 1 finer (1/03).From the J&A Collection Registry Set.
