1932-D 25C MS65 PCGS. David Bowers, in his Guide Book
1932-D 25C MS65 PCGS. David Bowers, in his Guide Book of Washington and State Quarters, writes "Although the mintage figure of the 1932-D (436,800) is slightly higher than for 1932-S (408,000), in grades of MS63 or better the 1932-D is at least 5 to 10 times rarer than the 1932-S. As such, it is far and away the key issue of the series." Furthermore, 1932-D quarters appear to experience their share of problems. Randy Campbell, in a "Grading Insights" column in the February 9, 2004 issue of Coin World, states: "Recently, a collector complained to me that virtually every 1932-D Washington quarter he had examined at a coin show was 'cleaned, scratched or had some other serious problem.' "
Our offering of the 1932-D quarter in the current lot should delight Washington quarter enthusiasts. Lustrous surfaces are adorned with subtle ice-blue and beige-gold patina accented with sprinkles of olive-green, and an impressive strike brings out nice definition on the design elements. A few stray, inoffensive marks prevent an even higher grade. All in all, this piece exudes outstanding eye appeal. Population: 63 in 65, 1 finer (10/06).

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
