1932 Babe Ruth Called Shot Signed Display. Fo
1932 Babe Ruth "Called Shot" Signed Display. For the most discerning of collectors, we present this elegantly rendered display piece memorializing the apocryphal story of the great Bambino's most celebrated at-bat. Anchoring the piece are 10/10 ink autographs on white paper from the primary players in this singular moment in baseball history, each matted in the sumptuous real leather backing along with engraved plaques that tell their conflicting tales of the event. "Anybody who knows me knows that Ruth would have ended up on his ass" reads part of Chicago Cubs pitcher Charlie Root's refutation of the legend. Joining the signatures of Ruth and Root are three pieces deriving directly from that famous Series, including a ticket stub for that historic Game Three (NRMT), a Wrigley Field program for the Series (VG) and a souvenir miniature bat sold at the park (VG-EX). Adding a final touch of visual appeal is an image of the famous painting of the event that appeared in Esquire Magazine in 1945. A third engraved plaque below tells the tale of the event as it read in the 1933 Reach Official American League Baseball Guide. The simply gorgeous shadow box display measures 25x29x2". LOA from James Spence Authentication.

Shipping: Framed - with Glass, Medium (view shipping information)
