1931 World Series (St. Louis Cardinals) Press Pin. Bill Hallahan and Burleigh Grimes won two games apiece this October to keep Mack's mighty Athletics from running their consecutive World Championships streak to three. One lucky journalist on hand at the joyous Sportsman's Park had this tough pin affixed to his lapel. The enamel face shows only slight wear, with some touches on the golden edging bringing the grade to a technical EX. Threaded post on verso is slightly bent, and includes original nut. Maker's stamping from "St. Louis Button Co.," which created pins for the Cards' Series in the 1930's and 1940's.
