<B>1931 World Series Program Signed by the Philadelphia Athletics.</B></I> Though Connie Mack's second great dynasty failed to make it three World Championships in a row this October, the devoted collectors of Philadelphia Athletics memorabilia should have a great affinity for this publication printed for the Series. All twenty-nine Mack Men pictured within its pages have autographed their images in the boldest of black fountain pen ink, including diamond immortals like Foxx, Grove, Simmons, Cochrane, Hoyt and the rest of the American League Champs. Particularly noteworthy is a photographic image of coaching staff Earle Mack, Eddie Collins, Connie Mack and former Black Sox manager Kid Gleason, likewise signed by each. Gleason and Mack have been deemed secretarial. Even team owner Thomas Shibe checks in, a tremendously tough signature absent from many top A's collections! The program remains in impressive condition as well, solid and complete with no creasing or staining. Two and a half inches of cover separation at the top of the spine is the only noteworthy condition issue, and this has no effect on the display or the structural integrity of the publication.
