<B>1931 World Series Press Pin (St. Louis Cardinals).</B></I> The Cardinals avenged their loss to the Philadelphia Athletics the previous season with a masterful performance by Hall of Fame pitcher Burleigh Grimes in the Game Seven of the 1931 Fall Classic. It's a safe bet that this pin was present for that historic victory at Sportsman's Park, pinned to the lapel of a sportswriter on hand to document the event. The surface and edges show mild wear, but the pin still presents at a very conservative EX rating.
