1931-S: This cataloger (BF) is not convinced that this is an actual 1931-S host coin, but instead probably an altered date 1930-S. In any event, it is a modern (unsigned) High Average carving by John Dorusa, that of a beardless, mustachioed man wearing a billed cap with earflaps. The cap was done with a mechanical instrument, but the rest of the work was carved, save for the zigzag design on the collar. The "Dorusa ear," hair, and abraded finished product confirm the artist, although he did not sign it.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
